Bhubaneswar: In view of rising cases of COVID-19, the Odisha Government today announced a 14-day lockdown in all districts from May 5.
Chief Secretary Suresh Kumar Mohapatra made this big announcement this morning.
The decision comes at a time when the state has been witnessing alarming rise in daily positive cases.
During the lockdown, except essential services all other activities are prohibited.
The State Government has instructed the police department to strictly implement the shutdown.
ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଚଳିତ ମଇ ମାସ ୦୫ ବୁଧବାର ସକାଳ ଠାରୁ ୧୯ ତାରିଖ ବୁଧବାର ସକାଳ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଲକ୍ଡାଉନ୍ ଘୋଷଣା କରାଯାଇଛି। ଏହି ସମୟରେ ୫ଶହ ମିଟର ଦୂରତା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସକାଳ ୬ଟାରୁ ୧୨ଟା ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଚାଲି ଚାଲି ଯାଇ ପନିପରିବା ଇତ୍ୟାଦି କ୍ରୟ କରି ପାରିବେ।

The State Government has instructed the police department to strictly implement the shutdown. While Khurdha and Sundargarh are topping the list of maximum number of infections, all other districts have also shown an upward movement in the numbers.
