Bhubaneswar: A bus owner has been imposed hefty fine here for allegedly plying the vehicle without valid documents.
According to the State Transport Authority (STA), the bus with registration OD10F0409 has been challaned for Rs 5.67 lakh for plying from Koraput to Bhubaneswar without permit, payment of tax and fitness.
The vehicle has been seized by enforcement wing of RTO BBSR II for having no MV Tax from May 2019 onwards till date amounting to Rs 5,66,981 with penalty and also plying without valid stage carriage permit, the STA added.
