New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has added 12,000 extra centres for the conduct of pending class 10 and class 12 board exams.
The step has been to ensure social distancing during the exams.
Informing this, Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, today said that pending CBSE board exams will be held at 15,000 exam centres instead of the 3,000 centres planned earlier.
The pending exams will be held from July 1 to July 15.
The CBSE had postponed the board exams scheduled in the latter half of March due to coronavirus outbreak and subsequent lockdown.
It will now hold 29 major papers instead of the 41 pending papers of Class 10 and Class 12.
This includes six Class 10 Board exams for North-East Delhi and 12 subjects for Class 12 students to be conducted across the country and 11 for North-East Delhi Intermediate students.
