Bhubaneswar: A team of Union Health Ministry today expressed satisfaction over the Odisha’s preparedness to tackle the novel coronavirus (nCoV).
The four-member, which visited the SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack to review the measures taken by the Odisha government to deal with coronavirus, expressed their satisfaction over the preparedness, according to reports.
The team visited the isolation ward of the hospital and later held a discussion with hospital authorities about screening and treatment of coronavirus.
Around 33 people had returned to Odisha from China, Thailand, and Hong Kong. Of them, three were admitted to the hospital suspecting the virus, reports stated.
The death toll from the nCoV) outbreak in China has climbed to 490, with 65 new fatalities, while the total number of confirmed cases has gone up to 24,324, the Chinese health authorities confirmed on Wednesday.
