Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja on Sunday visited the World Skill Center at Bhubaneswar.
NBS Rajput, Principal Secretary to the Governor & Skill Development and other senior officials accompanied him during the visit.
The senior officials explored various ultramodern laboratories and interacted with students regarding the advanced skill courses offered at this premier skill destination in Bhubaneswar.
Following their visit to the World Skill Center, they also toured Kaushal Bhawan.
The Chief Secretary also interacted with Rashmita Panda, CEO of WSC, Pinaki Patnaik, Addl Secy, SDTE Dept, Govt of Odisha & COO WSC, T Thambyrajah, Principal WSC and Jeetamitra Satapathy, Dy Principal WSC. Their discussion underscored Odisha’s dedication to empowering its youth through the Skilled In Odisha initiative and nurturing the future of the state’s workforce in an increasingly globalized world.
Impressed by the successful placements & international opportunities available to the youth of Odisha, Ahuja remarked, World Skill Center is making a significant impact on the development of Odisha by providing a platform for our talented youth to enhance their skills and prepare for industry demands.
This initiative is a testament to the government’s commitment to empowering the ‘Skilled In Odisha’ youth and maximizing their potential, ultimately making significant strides in the skill ecosystem of Odisha and enhancing the prowess of its workforce, he added.
