Bhubaneswar: Chilika MLA Prashant Jagdev was sent to jail again after he surrendered before the JMFC Court in Banpur on Monday following the expiry of his interim bail period.
He was sent to the Banpur Sub-jail, as per reports.
Last week, the Orissa High Court had rejected the bail plea of Jagdev in the road rage incident at Banpur block in Khordha district, in which several people sustained injuries.
The court had granted him interim bail on health grounds. His bail period ended on May 23.
