CM Announces Establishment of 11 Cyber Crime and Economic Offences Police Stations

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced the establishment of 11 new cyber and economic offences police stations in the State.

The new police stations will be set up at Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Keonjhar, Berhampur, Sambalpur, Angul, Koraput, Bhawanipatna, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal and Puri.

With this, the total number of cyber police stations will be 14. Currently, there are three such police stations at Sambalpur, Rourkela and Berhampur.
A total of 154 police personnel and 90 specialists will be engaged in these new Police Stations.

Director General of Police (DGP) Abhay thanked Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for the announcement.

In a Tweet, the DGP said, “We are delighted with sanction of 14 Cyber Crime and Economic Offences Police Station by Govt. This will help us provide better service to people”.
