Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has commended the Health and Family Welfare Department on successfully administering COVID-19 vaccines to more than one lakh senior citizens in just a day.
Odisha has achieved one lakh vaccination mark of elderly people and persons with comorbidities (above 45 years) on a single day on Monday.
Taking to Twitter, the Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of healthcare workers, frontline workers, and others engaged in the vaccination process.

The Odisha Government had set a target of inoculating one lakh elderly persons on a daily basis.
Of the total 1,00,273, who received the shot, 95,576 are above 60 years and 4,697 with comorbidities, according to the Health Department.
