Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has lauded the efforts of the Puri Police and District Administration for facilitating darshan for elderly & specially-abled devotees during the world famous Ratha Yatra in the pilgrim city of Puri.
The Puri Police has facilitated the darshan of at least 300 elderly and specially abled devotees, aged between 70-100 years, till date, as per Puri SP Dr. Kanwar Vishal Singh.
The district police has engaged Yuva Shakti volunteers, who are properly trained and sensitized on behavioural aspects and crowd control, to help the elderly and specially abled persons get a smooth darshan. Besides, the police personnel, who are posted at Gundicha Temple, are also helping them, he said.
