CM Condoles Demise of Renowned Odia Filmmaker Manmohan Mohapatra

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik condoled the sad demise of national award winning filmmaker Manmohan Mohapatra, who passes away at a private hospital here today. 

Taking to Twitter, Naveen said that Mohapatra will always be remembered for his contribution as a filmmaker.

The CM also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayer for the departed soul.

Manmohan Mohapatra (69) had won eight consecutive national film awards for his films Nishita Swapna, Majhi Pahacha, Tired Afternoon, Neeraba Jhada, Seeta Raati, Bhinna Samaya.

His first film Seeta Raati made in 1976 was the first Odia film to be screened at the international film festival in 1982. It won him the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Odia.
