CM Congratulates Odisha Swimmer Mannata Mishra on Winning Her First International Medal

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has congratulated Odisha’s promising swimmer Mannata Mishra for winning her first international medal.

Mannata, who is trained at Odisha IIS Swimming HPC, has clinched the silver medal in women’s 200m Breaststroke event at the 1st BIMSTEC Aquatics Championships 2024 in New Delhi.

She received a rousing reception at Biju Patnaik International Airport today in Bhubaneswar upon her arrival.

“Congratulations to Odisha IIS Swimming HPC’s Mannata Mishra who bagged her first international medal (Silver) in women’s 200m Breaststroke event at the 1st BIMSTEC Aquatics Championships in New Delhi. She received a rousing reception at Biju Patnaik International Airport today in #Bhubaneswar”, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) wrote on its ‘X’ handle.


Mannata has brought laurels to the State by winning medals at the major competitions.

Earlier, she had scripted history at the 37th National Games Goa 2023 by clinching a bronze medal in medley relay swimming team event.
