Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday dedicated as many as 531 transformed high schools in five districts of the State.
The schools were inaugurated on the second day of second phase of the ambitious High School Transformation Programme under the 5T initiatives of the Government.
A total of 105 transformed high schools in Dhenkanal district, 230 in Ganjam, 73 in Kandhamal, 73 in Nabarangpur and 50 in Angul district were inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
The CM has launched the second phase of the High School Transformation programme on June 1. A total of 2908 high schools will be transformed in this phase.
The Odisha Government has taken up the transformation of the High Schools in the state under the aegis of the 5T Initiatives with an aim to transform them into world class learning centers.
In the first phase, 1070 High schools have already been transformed. The new schools have the best and most modern teaching infrastructure such as smart classrooms, e-library, reading rooms, science laboratories, hygienic toilets, safe drinking water and sports infrastructures.
