Bhubaneswar: In a humane gesture, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has extended financial support to a talented student from Balangir to fulfill his dream of studying engineering.
On being apprised of financial hurdles for Tarachan Rana of Bangomunda tehsil in Balangir district for the admission process, Chief Minister sanctioned Rs 96,500 for his admission.
Tarachan Rana is a talented student from Badpada village in Sindhekela area of Balangir district. His father’s yearly income is meager Rs 45,000. Despite financial challenges, Tarachan continued his efforts and secured 99.35 per cent in JEE Main to become eligible to study at NIT Warangal.
However, the financial obstacles posed a major challenge before Tarachan Rana. He did not have the required funds for admission. He had requested Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for financial support.
Upon learning this, the Chief Minister immediately sanctioned Rs 96,500 for Tarachan’s study.
The CM also conveyed his best wishes to the talented student.
