Bhubaneswar: With an aim to promote sustainable tourism and provide visitors a memorable glamping experience, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday inaugurated the 5th edition of the Eco Retreat at three more picturesque locations in the State.
The three locations are Sonapur beach in Ganjam district, Konark beach in Puri district and Bhitarkanika in Kendrapara district.
Earlier, the Chief Minister had inaugurated Eco Retreat at Putsil, Daringbadi, Hirakud and Satkosia.
This year’s Eco Retreat is taking place across these seven scenic locations, promising a blend of luxury, adventure, local culture, and delights.
Minister of Tourism Aswini Patra, E&IT Minister Tusharkanti Behera, Chairperson Konark NAC Sanjukta Tripathy, Director Tourism Sachin R. Jadhav and other officials of the Tourism Department were present at the inauguration ceremony at Konark.
Berhampur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu, MLA Bikram Panda, Ganjam Collector Dibya Jyoti Parida, CDO Keerthi Vasan V, Berhampur Sub-Collector Ashutosh Kulkarni and other officials were present at the opening of Eco Retreat at Sonapur beach.
It is for the third time that the State Government is organizing the Eco Retreat at Sonapur beach.
