CM Launches ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’ Yojana in Khordha and Jagatsinghpur Dists

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday launched the State Government’s ambitious ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’ Yojana in Khordha and Jagatsinghpur districts.

The ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’ aims at strengthening the rural infrastructure for building a new Odisha. The focus of this programme will be on development of the villages and Panchayats.

The Chief Minister launched the scheme in Khordha and Jagatsinghpur districts on the fifth day of the programme.

Under the ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’ programme, seven constituencies of Khordha district have been sanctioned with Rs 95 crore. The constituencies are Jayadev, Bhubaneswar North, Ekamra-Bhubaneswar, Jatni, Begunia, Khordha and Chilika. A total of 2763 projects in 190 gram panchayats in 10 blocks of these constituencies will be implemented. Similarly, Rs 99 crore has been sanctioned for four constituencies of Jagatsinghpur district. These constituencies are – Paradeep, Tirtol, Balikuda-Erasama and Jagatsinghpur. As many as 2922 projects will be taken up in 198 GPs of eight blocks.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the development of all villages is our goal. Guarantee of development will be ensured for everyone in the village. Everyone in the village will be guaranteed with education and health. Culture will be preserved and modernity will be developed in villages. The developed village will be the identity of modern Odisha.

Odisha is the land of Jagannath. Love, peace, harmony, equality and service are the message of Jagannath culture. Irrespective of caste, religion, community, it has made everyone its own. The ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’ programme will preserve Jagannath culture in every village. Every place of worship will be developed. Heritage sites will be preserved. The Chief Minister said that the preservation and protection of these cultural and heritage sites is essential for our future generations.

Development of digital infrastructure in villages is one of the objectives of this scheme. Internet connection will be available in the village. Science park, skill development centre and works hub will be developed in the villages. Banking facilities will be available. The primary schools of the village will also be involved in this programme. It will bring immense opportunities to our youths, mothers, farmers and students and will further enhance Odisha’s identity as a modern, strong, progressive and culturally aware state, the CM stated.

Speaking on the occasion, VK Pandian, Chairman, 5T (Transformational Initiatives) and Nabin Odisha, said that the transformation has created enthusiasm among the people.
He said that the aim of the Chief Minister is to bring transformation in all villages through the ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’ programme.

The Chief Minister has launched the ‘Ama Hospital’ Yojana so that government hospitals will provide advanced treatment at par with private hospitals. The transformation programme is also going on in educational institutions like schools and colleges, Pandian said.

Minister Ashok Panda, Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, MP Manas Mangaraj, MLA Prasanta Kumar Muduli, MLA Rajendra Kumar Sahu, MLA Arabinda Dhali, MLA Jyotirindra Nath Mitra, MLA Sushant Raut, MLA Raghunandan Das, MLA Bijay Shankar Das, MLA Sambit Routray along with Zilla Parishad president, members, block chairman, Sarpanches and others participated in the programme.

They expressed their opinion that a new era of development has come in the village. They said that in the last 23 years, continuous development is going on in Odisha under the leadership and direction of the Chief Minister. They said that the map of development in Odisha has completely changed today.
