Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi chaired the two-day District Collectors’ conference, which began here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized the crucial role of district Collectors in implementing government schemes and reaching out to the people.
The Chief Minister said that Collectors play a vital role in implementing government schemes and resolving daily life problems at the district level.
Successful implementation of government schemes lies in the hands of collectors, which will help eradicate poverty and bring smiles to underprivileged people, Majhi said.
The CM also urged the Collectors to make field visits and monitor the status of schemes.
Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Development Commissioner Anu Garg and other senior officials attended the conference.
