CM Naveen Approves Allocation Of Rs 29 Crore For Construction Of 55 New Cyclone Shelters

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved Rs 29.36 Crore from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for construction of 55 Cyclone relief centers in the state. This is the second allocation for the project with the first allocation of Rs 29.36 lakh crore made in the month of April this year.

The total cost for the construction of the cyclone shelters is Rs 98 crore. These Cyclone shelters will help strengthen the disaster management powers of the district administration during cyclones and natural calamities. While OSDMA is implementing the construction project of new shelters, there is satisfactory progress in the first phase. The second phase allocation of money will speed up the construction.
