Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved the proposal of the Odisha Police regarding posting of Sub-inspectors as in-charges of 216 Outposts of the state. The decision will help strengthen the policing of outposts and focus more on better crime control and efficient delivery of citizen centric services. Earlier Assistant Sub-Inspectors were in charge of the Outposts. Starting from Commissionerate police, District police and Railway police outposts will have Sub-Inspectors as in charge.
