Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has condoled the loss of lives in the train accident that occurred at Korei in Jajpur district this morning.
Taking to twitter, the Chief Minister said “The incident of derailment of a goods train at Jajpur’s Korei station is very sad. My condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and I wish for the speedy recovery of all the injured.”

At least two persons have died including a woman when a goods train derailed and rammed into the station building at the Korei Railway Station in Jajpur district early morning today.
Many people are feared injured in the incident. The goods train was going to Chatrapur from Kharagpur. Both the UP and Down train lines have been affected and movement of passenger trains have been affected.
Senior officials of the Railway Department are present at the site of the accident and rescue operations are continuing.
