Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has grieved the demise of Srimat Swami Smaranananda Ji, revered President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister said that he was deeply saddened to learn about the passing away of Srimat Swami Smaranananda Ji, revered President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission.
Swamiji devoted his entire life spreading spiritualism across the world. His profound teachings and messages to promote social wellbeing will continue to guide us, the CM said.

Swami Smaranananda died in Kolkata on Monday evening. He was 95 and suffering from age-related ailments, the mission said in a statement.
Swami Smaranananda Maharaj became the 16th president of the order in 2017.
