Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today dedicated to the people Drink From Tap Water Supply facility for five cities – Rairangpur, Champua, Biramitrapur, Rajgangpur and Nimapara. Along with these cities, 149 wards of thirteen other cities were also inaugurated on this occasion. With this, 12.3 lakh more people will get the benefit of clean drinking water and drink from tap facility in this phase. All these Drink From Tap cities and wards will get clean drinking water 24 hours a day. Being implemented under the 5T Initiatives, Odisha is the only state in the country to provide clean drinking water to all the households 24 hours a day. Puri became the first city in the country to have complete Drink From Tap water supply facility.
