CM Naveen Launches ‘Mukhya Mantri Sabha Ghar’ Programme for Western Odisha 

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday launched the ‘Mukhya Mantri Sabha Ghar’ programme for the western Odisha.

Under the initiatives, the construction of about 2000 Kalyan Mandaps and local assembly halls will be taken up in western Odisha at the cost of Rs 125 crore. This will make the social and cultural life of the people of western Odisha more vibrant and active, the CM said.

Stating that the programme will be done under the 5T initiatives, the CM expressed his hope that all these infra works will be completed on time with very good quality.

Along with this, the Chief Minister also dedicated and laid foundation stone of various development projects worth Rs 33.58 crore.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that he has always paid special attention for the development of western Odisha.

The budget of Western Odisha Development Council (WODC) has been doubled and the activities of the Council have also been increased.

The CM advised the WODC to take up the development programmes after discussing with the public representatives.

The Chief Minister opined that WODC has played a major role in the development of western Odisha.

The role of western Odisha is important in the development of Odisha. The western Odisha is rich in agriculture, industry, mining, education and art and culture. For the development of tourism, the transformation works of Maa Samaleswari, Harishankar and Nrusinghanath temples are going on. Along with this, steps have also been started for many more temples and infrastructure works, the CM added.
