Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the Mukhyamantri Bayu Swasthya Seva scheme from Biju Patnaik International Airport here at Bhubaneswar. In the first phase, this service will initially benefit the people of Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada and Kalahandi districts and will be expanded to cover the entire state in the coming days. The service will provide high quality medical services to the people in the remote areas of these districts.
After the successful implementation of the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana, this is another milestone in the healthcare delivery mechanism of the State. The Mukhyamantri Bayu Swasthya Seva will be highly helpful to the people in the remote areas in accessing health services at their doorsteps. Through this service, the medical teams will reach near the patients by special helicopters and provide necessary treatment. Patients will also be airlifted if needed.
