CM Naveen Orders To Cap Museum Entry Fees At Rs 10; Free For Students, Craftsmen And Weavers

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has ordered that the entrance fee (ticket) of any museum in the state will not be more than Rs 10 and it will be totally free for students, artisans, craftsmen and weavers.

Odisha is the land of art. Our art, culture has created a unique identity of Odisha all over the world. Museums have played an important role in preserving and promoting this great heritage of ours. Apart from this, the Chief Minister has ordered that no fee will be charged for entry to the museum for students, artisans and weavers. The Chief Minister has also directed to take steps to make the museums in our state more popular and tourists can get a chance to visit them.

It is worth noting here that Bhubaneswar has the State Museum along with the arts, land, tribal, culture and research museums, maritime museum in Cuttack and many other museums in different districts. The Chief Minister’s decision will help immensely popularize them and attract large number visitors.
