Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal president Naveen Patnaik today paid his last respects to former Speaker of the Odisha Assembly and senior Biju Janata Dal leader Surjya Narayana Patro. The Chief Minister arrived at the residence of the former leader and offered floral tributes. He also met the family members of the departed leader and expressed his deep condolences.
Several ministers, MPs, MLAs, former lawmakers, leaders cutting across party lines and common people also visited his residence and paid their last respects. The last rites of the former speaker will be held in his native place Digapahandi.
