Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will today dedicate 142 transformed High Schools of various districts to the people of Odisha. The schools have been transformed with modern state of the art infrastructure and facilities under the 5T Initiatives High School Transformation Program. Among the 142 schools to be inaugurated today, 67 are in Sundargarh, 30 in Cuttack, 23 in Balasore, 10 in Kandhamal and 12 in Nabarangpur. The Chief Minister will attend the inauguration program virtually and he is also scheduled to interact with the students and parents of the transformed schools.
Under the 5T Initiatives High Schools Transformation program the government of Odisha is undertaking a massive transformation of the government high schools. In the first phase 1072 high schools of the state are being transformed. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had inaugurated fifty transformed schools in Ganjam District in August this year.
Under the ambitious project, the high schools are being transformed into state of the art learning centers having all the infrastructure such as new buildings, science laboratories, smart classrooms, e-library cum reading rooms, hygienic toilets, safe drinking water and sports infrastructures.
