CM Naveen to Handover Appointment Letters to 209 Newly Recruited Veterinary Doctors; Release Aid For Fishermen Families

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will today handover appointment letters to the newly recruited Veterinary Doctors. The Government of Odisha has appointed 209 new Veterinary Doctors who will be posted across the state. The appointment of new veterinary doctors in the state will augment the already available robust veterinary services for the benefit of farmers. The appointment letters will be handed over at a special program to be held at the Lok Seva Bhawan today evening.

The Chief Minister is also scheduled to release the financial assistance for fishermen families of the state who are affected by the ban on fishing during the nesting season of Olive Ridley turtles. The Odisha government gives financial assistance to fishermen families affected by the ban on fishing to protect the endangered Olive Ridley turtles that turn up on the coasts. An amount of Rs 21.34 Crore which will be directly transferred into the accounts of about 14228 fishermen families.
