Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the biggest ever investors’ meet of Odisha – The Make In Odisha Conclave 2022 today. This is the third edition of the flagship investors’ meet being organized in the state. It will continue till 4th December and is likely to be attended by the who’s who of Indian industry. More than one hundred top-notch industrialists from across the country and abroad will participate in the Conclave. The meet is likely to attract investment proposals from 120 to 130 companies from various sectors. In total, the third edition is likely to attract investments to the tune of more than Rs 6 Lakh crores to the state. This year’s event is likely to attract more investments than the two previous events held in 2016 and 2018. Big entrepreneurs and capitalists will attend the meet and see the investment opportunities that Odisha has to offer.
Speaking to media, Industries Minister Pratap Dev has informed that over 11,600 registrations have been received by the organizers till now. About 124 speakers have been lined up to speak during the four day meeting. In total, 38 events have been scheduled spanning all the Conclave days.
Pratap Dev said that Odisha has now become a major investment destination of the country. Odisha’s natural resources and manpower have attracted many investors and industrialists to the state in the recent past. The minister informed that even during the Covid epidemic, Odisha received investment proposals of Rs 3 lakh crore. All this shows the investment potential of Odisha, he said.
