Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the Odisha Start-up Yatra and Start-up Xpress 2023 today. The aim of this Yatra is to reinforce Odisha’s vision of fostering 5000 startups by the year 2025. As part of this, the Odisha Government through the MSME Department will organise Start-up Yatra and Start-up Xpress, covering all districts of the state.
The Yatra will cover 30 districts and reach more than 200 colleges and 60 schools. A series of initiatives, including van camps and boot camps for scouting innovative ideas, start-up Odisha will engage with over 25,000 students across the state. The top 25 ideas generated during the Yatra will be invited to the O-Hub (the start-up hub building) for a demo, out of which 10 will be awarded with seed funding worth Rs 3 lakh each to develop their ideas into viable start-up ventures. The programme will empower students, providing them with valuable insights, opportunities to pitch their ideas, and a clear pathway to help them build successful start-ups.
