Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the much-awaited ‘High School Transformation’ programme tomorrow.
As many as 10 state-run high schools in Hinjilicut and Sheragada blocks, which have been transformed as part of the 5T initiative, will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister on Saturday.
The schools are OAV S Ambagam, Hinjilicut; Panchayat High School Dhinkisala, Mahupadar, Sheragada; NAC High School, Hinjilicut; Gothagam High School, Sheragada; Raghunath Bidyapitha, Bellagam, Hinjilicut; Nodal Natheswar High School, Dhanantara, Sheragada; Pochilima High School, Hinjilicut; Dengapadar High School, Sheragada; Govt UG High School, Dayapalli, Hinjilicut and Thuruburai High School, Sheragada.
The Chief Minister is expected to inaugurate as many as 50 transformed high schools in the two blocks phase-wise.
The dream project of Chief Minister on Transformation of High Schools under 5T Principles has been converted into reality for the benefits of students from humble background of rural Odisha to give an exposure for various innovative ideas.
Being directly supervised by the 5T Secretary VK Pandian, the High School Transformation programme aims at giving a complete facelift to the state-run high schools with the state-of-the-art facilities, like such as e-library, smart classrooms, computer rooms, science laboratories, sports facilities, reading rooms, laboratory, drinking water facilities, hygienic toilets and above all a conducive study environment.
A total of 108 MLAs will be visiting various high schools at Hinjilicut and Sheragada blocks for every alternative day from August 21 to 30 to explore the transformation programme.
