Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik visited Ramadevi University here today and unveiled major projects for the infrastructure development of the varsity.
The Chief Minister inaugurated new academic block, library and hostel building of Ramadevi University.
Speaking on the occasion, Naveen said, “This is a unique institute in the sense that it’s the first and only university in Odisha till now, dedicated to women’s education. It carries the vision of Maa Ramadevi for the education and empowerment of women in Odisha. Therefore, its responsibility is also unique”.
Addressing the students, the Chief Minister said, “How you go ahead with your opportunities, and how you face the challenges that come in your way will define the future of this university. I believe; you are bustling with your talent and courage to redefine the prestige and dignity of your institute to make it one of the best institutes in the country”.
Students are the future of society and harbinger of change. As students, you have a responsibility for yourself, for your parents and also for your motherland. You must endeavour to excel in your studies and concentrate on your career, the CM said.
“Your knowledge will guide you, inspire you throughout your life. Knowledge is the Real Capital for a student. Every student must invest sincerely in it. It will continue to give you seamless returns all through your life. You also have a responsibility for your parents. Serve them. And try to fulfill their wish. Their blessings will keep you smiling forever”, Naveen said.
Women today are leading society everywhere. From business and industry to sports, defence and economy, women are everywhere to lead the world and guide society. They all have one thing in common. That is their sheer self-confidence. They trust and respect their own talent and never ever get swayed by the difficulties that have come in their way, Naveen added.
