Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department has said that the conditions are favourable for entry of South West Monsoon into Odisha in the next two to three days. “Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon over some more parts of south Peninsular India, some parts of Odisha, some more parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh during next 2-3 days,” the IMD bulletin said.
Also, the maximum day time temperature is very likely to be above normal by 4 – 6 degree Celsius in some districts of interior Odisha during the next two days. The Met Department has issued Orange alert warning heat wave to severe heat wave condition is very likely to prevail at a few places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sonepur, and Bolangir during the next 24 hours.
