New Delhi: The deadly Coronavirus is taking its toll in India as the number of infections has breached the three thousand level and the number of deaths due to it in India increasing to seventy seven till Sunday morning. Out of the infected persons, 266 have been cured and discharged from the hospitals.
While Maharastra leads the list of infections with 490, Tamilnadu has 485 infections. Delhi’s numbers continue to rise and by Sunday morning the number was at 445. Other states that have seen a rise in the number of infections include Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.
An analysis of the data on the number of infections in the country shows that 9% of positive cases are in between 0- 20 years, 42% cases are in the age group of 21-40, 33% in 41-60 and 17% in the people above 60 years of age.
