Bhubaneswar: The counting of votes for the Dhamnagar by-polls will begin at 8 am tomorrow and all preparations have been completed for this, informed Chief Electoral Officer Sushil Kumar Lohani today. Addressing media persons, Lohani said the strict security arrangements have been made for tomorrows counting of votes at the Sanskruti Bhaban near the Collectorate office in Bhadrak. A three-tier security system has been in place at the strong room.
At first, the postal ballot papers will be counted and then the EVM votes will be counted. In total, 14 table will be set up where counting will be held in 18 rounds. Each counting table will have a counting supervisor, an assistant, and a micro-observer, he said. The Central Observer appointed by the Election Commission of India will supervise the overall counting process. Arrangements have been made for display of the round wise results for the media and polling agents of the candidates.
