Berhampur: In a breakthrough in its fight against COVID-19, Odisha’s Ganjam district has registered zero positive case on the New Year’s Day today.
This has been informed by Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange.

“With support of all residents, COVID warriors and the State Government, we have successfully controlled new positive case over time. As a befitting response, we have recorded zero positive cases on New Year’s Day”, the Collector said.
He also expressed hope that the district will soon achieve its ‘Zero Active Cases’ mission.
As per the official data, the overall recovery rate of Ganjam has improved to 98.7% as 21535 patients successfully won the battle against the virus.
Currently, the district has 19 active cases.
