Bhubaneswar: As the COVID-19 cases are increasing overseas, the Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department on Tuesday urged the people to adhere to ICMR guidelines to deal with possible situation in the State.
The Health Department asked the people get tested if they have symptoms. It has also warned that there is a possibility of infection through players, spectators and people during the Hockey World Cup. So people need to follow the COVID-19 guidelines, the Health Department stated.
The State Government is well equipped to handle the new Omicron Variant XBB.1.5 and has advised the public to remain careful, take necessary precautions and adhere to the guidelines for the next 30 to 45 days, it added.
