COVID-19: Odisha Health Director Expresses Concern over Peoples’ Reluctance to Take Booster Dose

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Health and Family Welfare Director Dr. Bijay Panigrahi has expressed his concerns over the reluctance of people to take COVID-19 booster dose.

Around 87 per cent of people, who are eligible for the third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, have not yet taken the vaccine, he said.

Only 13 per cent of eligible beneficiaries or 42, 70,487 people have been given the booster doses in the State so far.

Around 2.82 crore eligible beneficiaries are yet to take the precautionary dose while 25 lakh people are yet to take their second shot of Covid-19 vaccine, he said while urging people to take their vaccine before September 30.
