Bhubaneswar: With an aim to ramp up COVID-19 testing facilities in the State, the Odisha Government has airlifted around 4,000 testing kits from Mumbai via a special air cargo.
The kits from Mylab Discovery Solutions consist of tests, reagents and Viral Transport Mediums (VTMs) for the process.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said this will strengthen the Odisha government’s efforts to ramp up its coronavirus testing facilities.
“Strengthening Odisha Government’s efforts to ramp up COVID19 testing in the state, around 4,000 testing kits were airlifted from Mumbai via a special air cargo. The kits from @MyLabSolutions consist of tests, reagents and VTMs vital for the process”, the CM tweeted.

Notably, the Odisha Cabinet approved a proposal to purchase Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) recognised Covid-19 Rapid Testing Kit.
In this connection one lakh rapid testing kits will be purchased to enable more Covid-19 tests to be conducted in the State.
