Covid-19 Second Wave Might Peak By May 2nd Week: DMET Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Director of Medical Education And Training Dr C B K Mohanty has said that the present second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic may see its peak in the second week of May and thereafter experience a gradual decrease in the number of infection. Speaking to Media, Dr Mohanty has said that the situation in Odisha is under control and well when compared to other states.

He advised the people with mild symptoms who are coming to the hospitals to not worry much. All the serious patients will be provided ICUs and other treatment according to the need. There is no deficit of Oxygen in the state. There is also no shortage of beds in the state for Covid patients. We have instructed the Collectors to increase the number of beds in the districts.
