Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) demanded the Centre for availability of the vaccine in the state on priority basis at the all party meeting with PM in Delhi.
Representing BJD in the all party meeting , MP Chandrasekhar Sahu said the state Government demanded the Centre to ensure that Odisha takes part in the vaccination programme in the first place itself once it begins at the national level.
At the all-party meeting, BJD gave two proposals : prioritizing COVID-19 vaccination programme at national level and preparation of database from grassroots level, he said.
Speaking to media after the meeting Sahu said, “the PM has lauded the state Government’s efforts to help migrants during the lockdown.”
The Prime Minister also briefed all party members in the meeting about the status of development of the vaccine by various firms that he reviewed recently.
