Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation has issued instructions to immediately shift the Unit 1 Market in the heart of the city to nearby Rajmahal square and Unit 1 High School Ground.
The decision has been taken in order to easily implement the social distance initiative. The Market which caters more than half of the population in the city sees a large number of gatherings daily.
The vegetable vendors have been asked to shift to the nearby Rajamahal square and the Unit 1 High School ground where they will be allowed to sell their products.
The BMC has instructed all to maintain a distance of about one meter between shop to shop and they have been asked not to allow crowd. The people to people distance of one meter also to be maintained in the shops.
