Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, the Odisha DGP has ordered Crime Branch probe into the alleged rape and abortion of a minor girl by an Inspector-in-Charge in Sundargarh district.
A Crime Branch team has already left for Sundargarh.

Few days ago Odisha, Director General of Police, Abhay suspended inspector-in-charge of Biramitrapur police station, Anand Majhi in Sundargarh district.
He was suspended on charges of impregnating a minor girl and later forcing to terminate her pregnancy.
The victim was admitted to the Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH).
