Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation’s special vaccination camp at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium (JNIS) here has got good response from the residents of the Silver City.
As many as 1800 beneficiaries above 45 years age whose second dose was due have been administered the vaccine at the centre till today, according to the CMC.
The civic body has turned the indoor stadium as vaccination centre for better management of the crowd and to avoid rush at the UPHCs and UCHCs for inoculation drive.
The mega camp, which began on Monday, ensures that social distancing norms are strictly followed by the people coming to the centre, said CMC Commissioner Ananya Das.
The CMC has made all necessary arrangements to run the vaccination drive smoothly, she added.
All COVID appropriate behaviors are being maintained at the centre.
Meanwhile, the beneficiaries have expressed their satisfaction to the arrangements made at the JNIS by the civic body.
