Cuttack: The Labour and E.S.I Department has issued show-cause notices to establishments for non display of Odia signboards.
As many 11 show-case notices have been issued to the establishments in Cuttack district under Odisha Shops and Commercial Establishment Act, 1956 for non display of Odia signboard.
“A special drive was conducted on Tuesday by the Assistant Labour Officers, Cuttack regarding display of Odia signboard in the area of Cuttack district and 11 nos. of show- cause notices are issued to the establishments under OS&CE Act, 1956 for non display of Odia signboard”, the Labour & ESI Dept. stated.
The State Government has made it mandatory for the shops and commercial establishments in the State to write signboards in Odia language.
