Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has thanked his Kerala counterpart Pinarayi Vijyan for standing in solidarity with the people of Odisha in the wake of cyclone of Amphan, which left a trail of destruction in the State.
“Thank you @vijayan pinarayi ji for standing in solidarity with people of Odisha at this hour”, Naveen tweeted.
On Thursday, the Kerala CM expressed his deep grief over the destruction caused by the cyclone in Odisha.
“We are deeply saddened to learn about the immense destruction caused by the cyclone. We want to inform you that the State of Kerala stands in solidarity with the people of Odisha”, Vijyan tweeted.

Earlier, the Odisha CM undertook an aerial survey of the cyclone-affected areas in the State.
The cyclone has severely damaged houses, standing crops, electrical infrastructure and uprooted trees in many districts in the State. Steps are being taken up on a war footing to restore normalcy.
