Puri: A day before taking oath as Chief Minister of Odisha for record fifth consecutive term, Biju Janata Dal supremo Naveen Patnaik today visited the world famous Jagannath temple in Puri to seek blessings of the Trinity.
Naveen, who has led landslide victory for his party BJD, reached the ancient shrine this evening and spent around 10 minutes in the temple complex.
“I came to visit Lord Jagannath to offer prayers for the people of Odisha before I take oath as Chief Minister tomorrow in Bhubaneswar,” the BJD president told the media after visiting the temple.
The BJD president offered prayers at the main temple and also sought blessings of ‘Maa Bimala’ and ‘Maha Laxmi’.
Naveen along with his new Council of Ministers will be sworn-in at the Exhibition Ground, Unit-III, Bhubaneswar at 10.30 am on May 29.
