Puri: Odisha Development Commissioner Suresh Mahapatra and Secretary To Chief Minister (5T) VK Pandian today reviewed the Covid preparedness in Puri district.
Both the officers visited various healthcare facilities including Gopabandhu Ayurved Mahavidyalaya, IDH Puri and temporary medical camps.
They had a detailed discussion on the COVID-19 preparedness in the district with Collector Balwant Singh.
The visiting officers stressed upon restarting livelihood activities in the district and care of the stranded people.
Puri district saw fast tracking of specialist health infrastructure in view of the threat from COVID-19 as the administration has set up 306 COVID Care Centers with 5494 beds for any eventualities across the district.
The Development Commissioner visited the Ratha Khala to take stock of the Ratha Making process that started yesterday. He stressed upon maintenance of social distancing norms in the Ratha Khala by the servitors.
