New Delhi, Feb 22 (IANS) The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) will hold a meeting on Friday to discuss the further relaxation in Covid restrictions in light of declining cases in the city.
The capital city, for first time since the third wave, reported Covid positivity rate below 1 per cent on Monday, at 0.94 per cent.
Meanwhile, Delhi on Tuesday reported total 498 fresh Covid infections, taking its tally to 18,57,015. There was one death, taking the death toll to 26,106.
However, the positivity rate saw marginal rise, to 0.96 per cent. Active cases have also risen to 2,367 against 2,281 on Monday.
With 411 patients recovering in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries has gone to 18,28,542. A total of 1,670 Covid patients are being treated in home isolation at present.
The number of Covid containment zones has also declined to 8,072.
Meanwhile, 51,793 new tests — 41,387 RT-PCR and 10,406 Rapid Antigen — were conducted in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 3,60,76,348.
