Bhubaneswar: The decision regarding opening of schools in Odisha will be taken after reviewing the COVID-19 situation in August, said School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Thursday.
The Minister also gave his remarks on the CBSE’s announcement to reduce 30 per cent of syllabus for class 9 and 10 students.
The Minister said that decision about reduction in syllabus will be taken based on the opening of the school.
The syllabus may be cut by more than 30 percent depending upon the situation after reopening of the school, he said.
Notably, the Odisha Government has extended the suspension of physical classes in schools, colleges and all educational institutes in the State till August 31.
