Deepika Padukone to be Questioned on Friday in Bollywood Drug Probe

Mumbai: In a big development in the drugs-related case pertaining to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday issued summons to Bollywood actresses, including Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shradhha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh in a Bollywood-drug nexus case.

According to news agency ANI, Deepika Padukone has been summoned on 25 September while Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan have been summoned on 26 September.

Padukone’s name cropped up in the case after some WhatsApp conversations purportedly between her manager Karishma Prakash and one “D” discussing drugs surfaced.

The NCB has so far arrested a total 16 accused in the case including Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, Sushant’s house manager Samuel Miranda, personal staff Dipesh Sawant and some others in the case.
